Jain Camp Counsellor?
Camp Counsellors are an important part of the camp experience! Counsellors act as role models, infuse fun, and help create an awesome camp atmosphere! Jain Camp counsellors need to be available from Aug 4-8, 2025 at YMCA Cedar Glen, 13300 11th Concession Rd, Schomberg, ON L0G 1T0. You would need to be available for all of the days of camp.
How old are Jain Camp Counsellors?
Individuals must be at least 18 years old to become Jain Camp Counsellors.
What would my responsibilities be as a Jain Camp Counsellor?
There are different types of counsellors at camp!

Cabin Lead: Work directly with a group of 8-10 campers and is responsible for:

ensuring their group of campers are keeping well at camp both mentally and physically,

attending learning and outdoor sessions with campers,
-
sitting and interacting with campers during meals,
-
having a cabin meeting with campers every evening,
-
helping and participating as needed to ensure best camp experience,
-
ensuring all campers and camp staff are staying safe and following camp rules,
-
attending debrief meeting with directors throughout camp.

Programming Lead: Work with directors to plan and run learning sessions at camp for various age groups. Gain teaching experience in this role!

Games Lead: Plan, organize, and deliver games for campers. These will include big group games, scavenger hunts, camp fire activities, evening cabin games, etc.
​
Camp Host: In charge of making sure camp stays on schedule, helps to oversee camp activities, directs groups as needed, etc.
